The best Pocket alternatives in 2026
On May 22, 2025, Mozilla announced it was shutting down Pocket, the read-it-later app it had run since acquiring it in 2017. The service went dark on July 8, 2025, with users given until October 8 to export their saves. After nearly two decades, one of the most popular “save it for later” tools was gone.
